Tough Truths

Boys today face serious challenges that many don’t talk about. Over 60% of teenage boys say they would be embarrassed to seek help for mental health related issues.1 Boys aged 10-14 are also 2.5x more likely to die by suicide than girls the same age.2

We Can Change

Evidence shows that early support leads to better outcomes. For example, mental health interventions before age 12 have been shown to reduce3:

  • Later violent behavior by 50%
  • Substance use by 40%

Below are ways we are working towards creating better outcomes for boys.
