Non profit group comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, librarians, teachers and web specialists who provide resources for teaching people about the law. Does not provide legal advice.

Provides supervision for individuals referred by the court and jail. Administers various programs offered by the Alberta Solicitor General's Department, i.e., Extra-judicial Sanctions Program, Probation and Fine Option.

A service provided by Alberta Justice to provide information about child support, civil and other family law issues. People who do not have lawyers can receive information and court forms. No legal advice is given. Visit Resolution and Court Administration Services website.

The Lawyer Directory allows people to search for information on a specific lawyer or find a lawyer who can help you with your legal issue based on certain search criteria. Members of the public can find a lawyer to assist with their legal needs by searching by name, firm, location, practice areas, language(s) spoken, gender, and whether a lawyer offers limited scope retainers. There are approximately 7,500 lawyers in private practice who are eligible to provide legal assistance. Please note that the Law Society of Alberta does not recommend or endorse individual lawyers. It is still up to the public to research and choose a lawyer based on their individual needs.

Legal Aid Alberta provides legal services and expertise to individuals and the legal community to support fairness in the justice system. Eligibility guidelines are on its website. It is independent, publicly funded, not-for-profit organization that provides a broad range of services in family law and child welfare, adult criminal law, immigration and refugee law, youth criminal law, and some civil legal areas.

Resolution Services are a group of programs and services offered by the Government of Alberta, Justice in collaboration of Alberta Courts. Resolution Services staff work directly with individuals to help them find appropriate solutions for their legal issues. Assessment Services assist self-represented individuals and families to find appropriate solutions for family law issues. Families are provided with information regarding court process, dispute resolution options, community resources, educational programs aimed at assisting parents in reducing parental conflict and developing child-focused parenting plans as well as access the court system when required. Information Services assists self-represented individuals to find appropriate information on court procedures and legal service options, assistance locating and filing out court forms and referrals to other community legal resources.

Student Legal Services of Edmonton (SLS) is the largest student-run legal organization in Canada.
