Disability Resources

• Helps individuals & families examine substitute decision making options for vulnerable adults; including personal directives, supported decision making, co-decision making & guardianship.
• Assistance in completing Adult Guardianship & Trusteeship Act forms. Serves Camrose and surrounding area.

• The Alberta Brain Injury Network supports Central Albertans 18 years and older with a diagnosed, acquired brain injury who are experiencing difficulties in accessing supports and services to help them fully participate within their community.

• Community-focused services to adults with developmental disabilities to live safe and meaningful lives in Camrose and Camrose County.
• Offers an array of services including residential, day program, respite, outreach and educational/recreational supports to help people be contributing community members.
• Goals include skill development, resiliency and improved overall wellness and quality of life.

• We work to improve the quality of life for persons of all faith and cultures by serving their social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical needs.
• In Camrose we provide programs for residential support, home support, independent living support, family supports for children with disabilities, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.

• We serve adults with developmental disabilities by providing opportunities to build independence through employment preparation and community access activities.
• Pre-employment training, career counseling, resume development, employment placement and job retention support provided.
• Through volunteer placements and personal goal-based activities, individuals become active and engaged community members.

• The Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) program works with eligible families to provide support and services based on each child and family's needs.

• The Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program helps eligible adults plan, coordinate and access services to live as independently as they can in their community.

• Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) includes a range of disabilities caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol.
• We provide: Coordinated access to support services for children, families and adults; FASD assessment and diagnosis; Risk reduction information for parents and professionals; Public information and education about FASD.

• Enriching the lives of individuals with an intellectual disability through sport.
