Social Connection

Creating meaningful connections for older adults (55+) and seniors, experiencing loneliness or social isolation, either in person or over the phone.

Start With A Friendly Visit

Our friendly visitor volunteers provide:

Companionship & Support

Providing emotional, social, and practical assistance to enhance the well-being and alleviate loneliness.

Engagement in Hobbies & Interests

Supporting individuals to engage with activities that aremeaningful to them.

How It Works

Here's what typically happens after you contact us:

  1. Our Program Coordinator will talk with you about your needs and determine whether the Friendly Visitor or Nav-CARE program is the best fit.
  2. You will complete an intake form and discuss your service goals, likes, and dislikes.
  3. If you are referred to Nav-CARE, the Program Coordinator will meet with you to discuss your goals in more detail and explain the program.
  4. We will match you with a suitable Volunteer based on your needs, goals, and interests. Please note Nav-CARE navigators can take longer to match.
  5. Have your first meeting with your matched Volunteer or Nav-CARE Navigator and the Program Coordinator for an introduction and to set expectations.
  6. Lastly, you and your Volunteer will arrange regular visits that work for both of your schedules.
