School Supply Volunteer

Role Description

We are in need of some eager volunteers to assist families collecting school supplies according to their children’s class lists. Volunteers are simply there to help these families "shop" for any supplies they need, making sure every local student is prepared for the upcoming school year. Your role will be:

• Greeting families as they arrive 
• Identifying the correct school supply list for each of the family members
• Assisting families collect the available needed supplies
• Keeping the space organized & tidy

Goals of Service

Camrose & District FCSS and Staples Camrose believe that access to basic school supplies helps set the stage for confidence, learning, and a strong start because every student deserves the tools to succeed. When families don’t have to worry about the cost of school supplies, it creates less stress and more opportunity for kids to thrive.

Time Commitment

Takes place at the Camrose Family Resource Centre during the summer months (July-September) or until supplies run out. 

This is a flexible position! Sign up for as many or as little shifts as you are available!

Volunteer Requirements

To be a Community Kitchen volunteer, you will need the following:

• A Volunteer Application Form
• Police Information Check 
• Copy of Photo Identification
