- Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada M & M BBQ - May 12, 2012. Volunteers needed for this annual fundraising BBQ. This event helps CCFC to raise monies to support those suffering from inflammatory Bowel Disordres, Crohns' and Colitis. - Event Volunteers Needed for MS Bike Tour (June 9 & 10, 2012 -Leduc to Camrose) - The MS Bike Tour is a two day, 190 km bike ride from Leduc to Camrose. Over 2000 cyclists and 500 volunteers. For information about volunteer position descriptions please visit the MS Website.
- Camrose Community Garden Volunteer Opportunity - Interested in urban agriculture and food security issues? Want to make a difference in your community and gain invaluable work experience? Organizers of the Camrose Community Garden are seeking volunteers to help prepare the raised beds, assist with planning and garden maintenance. Volunteer Appreciation
A volunteer appreciation pancake breakfast was held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Camrose Gateway Centre. A special thank you to Doug Lyseng from Maplewood Acres Market Garden and Greenhouse for donating 100 Heirloom Tomato plants; and Camrose and District Support Services, The Open Door, Habitat for Humanity, and Camrose Adult Learning Council for organizing and sponsoring the breakfast.
