Home Support is a registered Society. We gratefully accept donations or memorials.

Who We Serve

• Individuals whose support systems are not adequate to enable them to maintain their independence.
• Individuals whose health is declining, making it difficult to manage their own affairs, particularly in terms of hiring, paying for, managing and supervising private help.
• Families with children, under stresses such as illness (physical or mental), marital or parenting difficulties.

Frequency of Service

• Length of service will be on a case by case basis, and reassessed on an ongoing basis.
• Hours of service may be longer immediately following admission, but with a gradual reduction in hours to maintenance level, or to discharge.
• Frequency and length of visits will be determined in consultation with the client by the Director.

Home Support Referral Service

For individuals whose support systems are adequate and are able to manage their own affairs we have a directory of private housekeepers available. Individuals in this directory have had reference checks and criminal records checks completed.

The aim of our program is to maintain the clients independence as much as possible.

We encourage clients to do as much for themselves as they are able.
