Currently undergoing restructuring and further development, Bethany is a ministry for women and children with a focus on Greenhouse Gardening, Horses and Learning Life skills. Horses of Hope is a program that will be operating at Bethany Homes throughout 2012 and exists to provide a safe and peaceful environment where children, paired with horses can find hope and healing in God's love.

The Camrose & Area ECD is part of a coalition of a provincial project to identify and develop community assists in support of early child development. A partnership between Alberta Education and the University of Alberta, the project involved an Early Development Instrument (EDI) administered by Kindergarten Teachers. The local Coalition, which serves Bashaw & Tofield along with the City and County of Camrose is mainly focused on engaging parents and community to better understand and promote the importance of Early Child Development and prepare for the EDI information when it is released spring/summer of 2012.

Provides experienced personnel to assist individuals and families with homemaking, shopping, meal preparation and emotional support. Priorities are socially isolated persons with insufficient support systems such as family, friends, or other agencies actively involved with the client; individuals who are frail and/or confused and families under stresses such as illness (physical or mental), marital or parenting difficulties. These services are meant to be preventive and supportive in nature. Funded by CDSS.

Provides a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere to promote the use of a child's most important learning tool - meaningful play. Activities include theme/letters of the month, arts & crafts, gym and outdoor activities, interactive reading & field trips. Funded by CDSS.
Classes are 1/week for 3 yr. olds and 2/week for 4 yr. olds.
Set by Parent Program Board. Subsidies may be available.

A recreational centre for seniors 50+ years is located within the Mirror Lake Centre. Activity groups offer a wide selection of interest for every lifestyle from friendly card games, scrabble, competitive floor games, pool, table tennis, pickle ball and dance. The Camrose & District Handivan operation is also located at the Mirror Lake Centre.

The FCSS program for Camrose and area, CDSS services include information/referral and a variety of programs that help strengthen individuals, families, organizations and communities.
